The Wooden Whitehall Rowboat 17 is crafted with centuries of history and tradition in mind, recreating the timeless character of classic Whitehall boats while incorporating the best materials and craftsmanship available today. Inspired by the traditions of boat makers of the past, this handcrafted rowboat offers a unique combination of heritage, natural beauty, and modern functionality.
We use the traditional plank-on-frame construction method to build this Whitehall dinghy, with hand-joined cedar strips carefully assembled to create a strong and reliable structure. This traditional approach not only provides durability but also highlights the natural beauty of the wood through elegant, flowing designs.
The transom is specially designed with a cut-out for a standard 19-inch shaft outboard motor, allowing the boat to accommodate a small motor while maintaining its classic appearance. A regular transom version is also available under SKU K012.
With approximately 600–800 hours of skilled craftsmanship invested in its creation, every detail is carefully finished to meet high standards of quality and performance.
