Terms of Service – Captain Heritage

1. Construction

All Captain Heritage models are handcrafted by skilled and experienced artisans. Each piece is built to scale based on original plans or reference images using traditional “plank-on-frame” or “plank-on-bulkhead” construction methods. These are not kits—they are fully built from scratch with exceptional attention to detail. Every model includes a premium wooden display stand.

2. Ship Models Measurement

All products on this website are measured based on their maximum display dimensions (in inches), ensuring clarity for display and placement.

3. Materials

At Captain Heritage, we prioritize both beauty and durability. We use only high-quality woods sourced locally and internationally, including rosewood, ebony, mahogany, teak, and Western Red Cedar. All timber is carefully air-dried or kiln-dried to ensure long-lasting performance across various climates worldwide.

4. Production Time

Crafting a single model can take approximately 200 hours, such as a 36” HMS Victory. Custom-built models may require additional time depending on complexity. Each model comes with a certificate of authenticity detailing the craftsmanship involved.

5. Ordering

All products are available online for both retail customers and dealers. For wholesale inquiries or assistance, please contact our team directly.

6. Payment Methods

We accept a variety of payment methods, including major credit cards (Apple Pay, Google Pay), ACH, wire transfer, and company checks. Net 30 terms may be available for qualified dealers with established credit history. International orders are typically processed via wire transfer.

7. Delivery

Most in-stock items are shipped within 2 business days via FedEx or UPS. Delivery typically takes 2–5 business days within the continental United States. Oversized items may be shipped via freight carriers. For Alaska and Hawaii, please contact us for a custom shipping quote.

8. Shipping Policy

Standard ground shipping is free for retail customers within the continental USA. For wholesale and dropshipping orders, shipping costs are calculated separately and clearly listed on invoices.

9. Minimum Order

a. Physical Stores: A minimum opening order or deposit of $750 is required to establish a trade account. Subsequent orders have no minimum requirement.

b. Dropshipping (Online Stores): We offer tailored packages (Silver, Gold, Diamond) designed to support online retailers with professional product images, videos, and marketing resources.

10. Packaging

Each model is securely packed in an individual carton. For added protection, many models include a reinforced wooden frame. Most items are shipped fully assembled; for sailboats, masts may be folded for safe transport and can be easily assembled upon arrival.

11. Natural Materials Disclaimer

Wood is a natural material with unique grain, color, and texture variations. Over time, exposure to light and environment may slightly alter its appearance. Therefore, final products may vary from images shown on our website or catalog.
