Built by the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, the ship was delivered in June 2022 and embarked on its maiden voyage on July 14, 2022. Disney Wish is the first in the Triton class, marking a major evolution in both size and technology for Disney Cruise Line. At approximately 144,000 gross tons and 341 meters long, the ship can accommodate 4,000 passengers and over 1,500 crew members. The ship’s design is inspired by fairy tales and fantasy, with a strong emphasis on immersive storytelling. It features a grand atrium inspired by Cinderella’s castle, Marvel and Star Wars-themed kids’ zones, and the AquaMouse — Disney’s first-ever attraction at sea, combining a water slide with animated storytelling.
