USS MONITOR Civil War Ship Model

Bring a remarkable piece of American Civil War history to your collection with this fully assembled U.S.S. Monitor model. Built in 1862 for the United States Navy, the ironclad became famous for its historic battle against the C.S.S. Virginia at the Battle of Hampton Roads.

Master craftsmen individually hand-build each model using historical photographs, drawings, and original plans as references. Constructed with high-grade wood, polyester resin, metal, and MDF, the model uses the traditional plank-on-frame construction method, similar to the techniques used to build full-size wooden ships. Each piece requires hundreds of hours of craftsmanship and undergoes detailed quality control before completion.

The U.S.S. Monitor replica features an impressive range of historically inspired details, including metal cannons, wooden boats, pilothouse, skylights, smokestacks, air-intake stacks, and American flags. Black railings surround the deck and turret, while individually detailed rivets across the armor plating recreate the distinctive appearance of this pioneering ironclad. Metal stanchions support the turret roof, adding another layer of realism.

Fully assembled and ready for display, this handcrafted model makes an exceptional centerpiece for a home, office, library, museum-style collection, or maritime history display.
