Description
Own a handcrafted replica of one of the most legendary commercial fishing vessels in Alaskan maritime history. F/V Cornelia Marie earned worldwide recognition through Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch and became forever associated with the late Captain Phil Harris, whose leadership and dedication made the vessel an enduring icon of the Bering Sea crab fishery. Built in 1989 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, the Cornelia Marie represents generations of family tradition, perseverance, and the extraordinary courage required to work one of the world's most dangerous commercial fisheries.
Our 30-inch handcrafted F/V Cornelia Marie model faithfully captures the distinctive appearance of the original vessel. Each model is individually built by experienced craftsmen using the traditional plank-on-frame construction method—the same principle used in authentic wooden shipbuilding. We select only premium hardwoods, including Western Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany, to ensure exceptional durability, fine craftsmanship, and a timeless finish.
Every element is carefully recreated, from the reinforced fishing hull and spacious working deck to the elevated wheelhouse, hydraulic crane, crab pot handling equipment, navigation mast, rigging, and the vessel's iconic blue-and-yellow livery. Rather than being mass-produced, each model is individually handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, creating a museum-quality display piece worthy of any maritime, commercial fishing, or Deadliest Catch collection.
One of the defining characteristics of F/V Cornelia Marie is her classic deep-sea hull, distinctive blue-and-yellow color scheme, and highly functional crabbing deck built for the demanding conditions of the Bering Sea. This handcrafted model faithfully recreates her elevated wheelhouse, hydraulic crane system, crab pot handling equipment, spacious aft working deck, and rugged fishing profile, beautifully capturing the strength, heritage, and unmistakable character that have made the Cornelia Marie one of the most beloved commercial fishing vessels in modern maritime history.
The 30-inch model offers the perfect balance of craftsmanship, practicality, and value. Large enough to showcase the Cornelia Marie's intricate fishing equipment, working deck, and authentic commercial vessel details, yet compact enough to fit comfortably on bookshelves, office desks, display cabinets, or mantels, it is an excellent choice for both home and office display. Its convenient size also makes it more affordable than larger models, easier to ship worldwide, and a meaningful gift for commercial fishing enthusiasts, Deadliest Catch fans, collectors, or anyone passionate about maritime history.
Each piece is individually handcrafted, and production typically takes 3–6 months, depending on the model's size and complexity. Throughout the process, we'll keep you updated with detailed progress photos at every major milestone, allowing you to review the craftsmanship and approve each stage before we move forward.
You'll receive photos during:
- Hull construction
- Deck detailing and superstructure assembly
- Final painting and finishing
Your satisfaction comes first. We proceed to the next stage only after you've reviewed the previous one.
Secure Worldwide Delivery
Once you approve the completed model, it will be carefully packed in a custom-built wooden shipping crate with multiple layers of protective cushioning to ensure it arrives safely anywhere in the world.

The F/V Cornelia Marie is an iconic Alaskan commercial fishing vessel whose storied legacy is deeply woven into the history of the modern Bering Sea crabbing industry. Built in 1989 at the Horton Boats shipyard in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, this exceptionally rugged 128-foot house-aft vessel was custom-engineered to endure the most punishing maritime environments on Earth. Powered by twin 750-horsepower Cummins diesel engines, the ship was originally commissioned to operate across multiple Alaskan fisheries, famously carrying up to 180 massive steel crab pots on its expansive working deck.
The vessel achieved global recognition under the command of the legendary Captain Phil Harris, becoming a core feature of the television show Deadliest Catch. Following extensive structural restorations and modernization upgrades in 2015, the ship received advanced navigation systems, new power plants, and a striking blue-and-white paint scheme to prolong its active commercial career
