The CMA CGM Jacques Saadé marked a historic turning point in sustainable maritime logistics when it officially entered service on September 22, 2020. Named in honor of the visionary founder of the CMA CGM Group, this 1,312-foot megaship shattered records as the world's first ultra-large container vessel with a 23,000 TEU capacity to be powered entirely by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation, this technological masterpiece was designed from the hull up to drastically reduce harmful maritime emissions, representing a massive leap forward for environmental preservation in ocean freight.

Operating on the French Asia Line, the vessel features a highly distinctive "LNG POWERED" green livery and a state-of-the-art aerodynamic bow profile integrated with a redesigned propeller to maximize fuel efficiency. Her massive internal 18,600-cubic-meter cryogenic fuel tank allows the ship to complete a full round-trip voyage between Asia and Europe on a single fueling.
