Built by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea for the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), this record-breaking megaship measures an astounding 1,312 feet (400 meters) in length and spans a beam of 202 feet (61.5 meters). Designed with a revolutionary 24-row-wide deck configuration, the MSC Gülsün was the first vessel engineered with a carrying capacity of over 23,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), specifically optimized to maximize eco-efficiency on the busy Silk Sea route between Asia and Europe.
