The Borei-Class (Project 955) submarines mark a new era in Russiann strategic deterrence, designed to replace the aging Typhoon and Delta IV-class SSBNs. As the first submarine of this class, the K-535 Yuriy Dolgorukiy sets the standard with its improved stealth, nuclear propulsion, and capability to launch the RSM-56 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).This 36-inch handcrafted model is built using the traditional plank-on-frame technique and high-grade woods like Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany. From the sleek missile hump to the enlarged sail and quiet propeller design, each signature feature of the Borei-class is represented with precise craftsmanship. Completion takes between 3 and 6 months depending on specifications.We collaborate closely with you during the build. You'll receive images during the following three production phases:- Hull construction- Deck detailing and structures- Final painting and finishing touchesWe'll make adjustments until you're completely satisfied with the model. Once you approve the final result, the model is carefully packed in a custom wooden crate with internal cushioning to guarantee safe delivery.
