C.S.S. Virginia Ironclad Warship Model
Bring a remarkable piece of American Civil War history to your collection with this fully assembled C.S.S. Virginia model. The ironclad famously fought the U.S.S. Monitor in the Battle of Hampton Roads in 1862 and played an important role in defending the Gosport Navy Yard from Union forces.
Master craftsmen handcraft each model from scratch using historical photographs, drawings, and original plans. Built to scale from premium materials including Western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany, each replica is individually constructed using the traditional plank-on-frame method, similar to the construction of full-size wooden ships. Every model requires hundreds of hours of craftsmanship and undergoes rigorous quality control.
The C.S.S. Virginia features a wooden planked deck, upper deck, detailed lifeboats, metal anchors, a smoke stack with metal rings, wooden cannons, a wooden rudder, and Confederate flags. Fully assembled and ready for display, this handcrafted ironclad model makes a distinctive addition to any home, office, library, or maritime history collection.
