We select only premium hardwoods, including Western Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany, to ensure exceptional durability, fine craftsmanship, and a timeless finish.

Originally built on the hull of a former gaming vessel constructed in 1995, the ship underwent an extensive multi-million-dollar reconstruction and lengthening project at Gulf Island Shipyards in Houma, Louisiana, during 2019. The transformation extended the vessel to an overall length of 318 feet, creating a stylish four-deck boutique riverboat designed specifically for cruising the historic Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee rivers.

Powered by a modern propulsion system complemented by its signature functional red paddlewheel, the American Countess was engineered to navigate shallow inland waterways while providing a comfortable cruising experience for up to 245 guests.
