Hellenic Navy HS Hydra (F452) is the lead ship of the Hydra-class frigates, developed for multi-role naval warfare and fleet defense missions. Featuring advanced radar systems and modern combat technologies, the vessel serves as one of the most important surface combatants in the Hellenic Navy.



This 30-inch handcrafted model is meticulously built using the traditional plank-on-frame method and premium-grade woods, including Western Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany. Every detail, from the sleek hull design and radar mast to the missile launch systems and flight deck, is carefully recreated by skilled craftsmen to capture the impressive appearance of the original warship.

Completion typically takes 3 to 6 months, depending on the design complexity and selected materials.

HS Hydra (F452) was commissioned by the Hellenic Navy in 1992 as the lead ship of the Hydra-class frigate program based on the German MEKO 200 design. The class was developed to modernize Greece's naval fleet and strengthen maritime defense capabilities in the Mediterranean region.



Equipped with advanced radar systems, missile technologies, and anti-submarine warfare capabilities, HS Hydra became one of the most capable warships in the Greek fleet. Its flexible multi-role design continues to support NATO and regional naval operations.
