The Anabelle is a 10-foot classic wooden skiff designed by William Atkin as a lightweight, practical, and beautifully balanced small boat. Easy to build, affordable to own, and graceful on the water, she represents the ideal blend of simplicity and performance. With a length of 10 feet, a beam of 3 feet 6 inches, and a light draft of just over 3 inches, Anabelle carries three people comfortably-and four in a pinch-while maintaining excellent stability and handling.Our factory faithfully recreates the Anabelle using premium materials such as Western Red Cedar, Teak, Mahogany, and US -made Hexcel fiberglass with System Three marine spar varnish. Each model is hand-built using the traditional plank-on-frame construction method, taking 4-5 months of skilled craftsmanship. Customers can fully customize dimensions, finish, interior details, and rigging to suit their personal preference.Anabelle's design features pronounced flare in her topsides for stability, a nearly flat bottom for easy rowing, and the ability to perform well with a small outboard motor. Her bold sheer line, rounded stem, and narrow stern give her a distinctive, elegant silhouette. The original design specifies white cedar planking for the hull and spruce for all other parts-a combination chosen for its lightness, strength, and durability when properly finished.Fitted with a daggerboard and leg-o'-mutton sail, Anabelle handles beautifully under canvas, gliding smoothly with balance and control.
